THE SUN-SET OF A GREAT IGBERE
SON: COMMODORE AMADI GUY
IKWECHEGH (1951 - 2009)
(A Tribute By Chief Mike Awa, President, IPAI)
God creates great men and women and
Commodore Amadi Guy Ikwechegh was
one of those great gifts from God to Igbere
people, Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
Born in 1951 and departed November 11,
2009, to be with the Lord after putting up a
great fight against his ill-health.
He was a warrior, a Nigerian Navy
Commodore of a great repute. He was
highly intelligent, down to earth and above
all well rooted in his people’s culture,
showing love and respect to everyone. On
many fronts he was first among his equal
and a big pair of “shoes” have been left
empty and I pray that God provides us
someone to fill these shoes.Read More
