Chief Chris Uche (SAN)

One legal luminary of Nigeria and a member
of Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), which is one
of the foremost professional bodies in the
country, is Chief Chris Uche (SAN). A
distinguished attorney, Chief Chris Uche, who
is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria graduated
from the University of Lagos in June 1980,
and was called to bar in 1981 after attending
the Nigeria Law School.

A native of Igbere in Abia Sate, he began legal practice in
Port-Harcourt before he relocated to Aba where he
practiced law for over 20years and was at various times
the publicity secretary, and member of NBA National
Executive Committee. He joined the NBA Abuja branch in
2001 and has chaired Ethics and Conduct Committee,
High Court Review Committee as well as organized the
law week programmes of the branch.
Born into a legal profession family by an administrator and lawyer father  - Late Mr.
Amadi Orji Uche and a retired high court judge mother Hon. Justice (Mrs.) Christiana
Ijeoma Uche of  Amankalu Igbere; Chief Chris Uche who is married with children grew
up to study, practice and love the law profession.

A Lagos Lawyer––Rasheed Omilaye once described Chief Chris Uche as “a
detribalized Nigerian, a conservative yet a progressive lawyer, and a complete bar man
…”  A lot of his practice have involved many high profile cases in Nigeria, some of which
